This trimmer decodes your audio in-browser via the Web Audio API and exports the trimmed range as WAV (uncompressed, universally compatible). WAV files are larger than MP3 — expect roughly 10 MB per minute of stereo audio. Re-compressing to MP3 in-browser needs a much heavier encoder library; if size matters more than compatibility, run the resulting WAV through a desktop compressor.
