Prism infers each column's type from its values: a column whose entries all parse as numbers is treated as numeric, one that looks like dates as a date, and the rest as categories. Histograms group numbers into bins; category charts count rows per value; with a numeric Y and a category X, bars show the average of Y in each group. Everything runs on your device; your data is never uploaded.
